back from the beach

even though we did not sift our feet through the sand of the beaches in tel aviv, we stayed as beach-side as possible. it was nice weather, warm in the sun, yet somewhat windy. but it felt so good just to get away from our little home in the "north" and explore tel aviv with no worries except for where we would have our next meal. explore we did. we were on our feet thursday for like 8 hours! we picked up some great pieces at the market, people watched for hours and indulged in great meals (and desserts!).

when we were at the market i had to sort of pick & poke until i found some cool stuff, but that's the fun in "market shopping" anyways. i took some inspiration with me that i had seen from the blogosphere, like the trend of highlighter brightness in accessories / clothing, studs, funky jewelry & cool cut outs.

i liked the thought of pairing a super bright colored bra under a white blouse or tee, like caylee mentionened here
i scored this under armour for two dollas!!! holla.
i liked the color of this bright bandu top that caylee also thinks to wear with high waisted shorts for summer:
i found a quicksilver dress in almost-the-same watermelon color to wear belted with thights or over my swimsuit to the beach:
i love this statement skirt. it shouts so loud all you need to wear it with is white. now that's spring:

i scored 3 polishes for three bucks. i wore the green for st. patrick's day, but can't wait to apply the highlighter yellow!!
i am loving studs right now.
on shoes, handbags, belts, jackets, nails etc...

scooped up this kickass belt for 5 dollaroos:
i posted here about my lust for cool cut-outs like these:
at the market i found the perfect sweater (for five dollars) hidden on a rack full of pieces i wouldn't look twice at & couldn't be happier with how it fits:
it's no secret that i love jewelry. organizing it, displaying it, flaunting it. i love pieces that draw attention or start convos, like these:
i typically always find at least a little something from my market trips to take home with me to remember that particular trip by, this time it was this little dude:

so, what do you guys think of my market finds? is there a market where you live or do you prefer the mall?
