dress me up

a stop over at emily's blog cupcakes and cashmere is a daily must for me and i really loved this post of colorful, summery dresses, for weddings, parties or nights out. i felt the urge to do a little online shopping browsing myself and put together a little collage of my own to include some of my favorite finds, as i've done in these posts. some of these numbers are way out of my price range, but the fun with online outfit-picking-outting is that the price tag doesn't matter (as long as your intentions are not to buy)  =)

i've fallen

it's easy for me to fall into the same 'ol hair routine. i come home from work, shower, let my hair air-dry, then create waves with my CHI hair straightener, sleep on it and ta-da. that's my wavy, messy hairstyle. every.single.week. not to say that i don't get compliments on my hair style or color, but i like to mix it up and go out of my "box."

how 'bout i attempt these looks and post 'em?
which one do you like best?

braided bun
 via
loose french braid (i wish i knew how to french braid..)

 hair knot
mini cinnamon buns

...and last but not least! the braided mess. i have been dying to conquer this hair style, but can not even imagine how it would turn out if i tried to do this on my own.
i have posted about this look here, photo via

what's your hair style routine?
do you branch out out the norm?

i heard that spring has sprung

...but i don't feel it. it's still chilly here!

i cannot wait for weekends filled with beach trips. and picnics on the sand of watermelon and beer. playing matkot as my excercise routine. and getting a tan. wearing barely there makeup. and salty kisses in the ocean. and picking up seashells/ soft rocks/ broken lobster legs to add to my collection (they surround the candles on the coffeetable).

some photos to get me spring ready:

as you can tell, i really want warmer weather to hit israel!

back from the beach

even though we did not sift our feet through the sand of the beaches in tel aviv, we stayed as beach-side as possible. it was nice weather, warm in the sun, yet somewhat windy. but it felt so good just to get away from our little home in the "north" and explore tel aviv with no worries except for where we would have our next meal. explore we did. we were on our feet thursday for like 8 hours! we picked up some great pieces at the market, people watched for hours and indulged in great meals (and desserts!).

when we were at the market i had to sort of pick & poke until i found some cool stuff, but that's the fun in "market shopping" anyways. i took some inspiration with me that i had seen from the blogosphere, like the trend of highlighter brightness in accessories / clothing, studs, funky jewelry & cool cut outs.

i liked the thought of pairing a super bright colored bra under a white blouse or tee, like caylee mentionened here
i scored this under armour for two dollas!!! holla.
i liked the color of this bright bandu top that caylee also thinks to wear with high waisted shorts for summer:
i found a quicksilver dress in almost-the-same watermelon color to wear belted with thights or over my swimsuit to the beach:
i love this statement skirt. it shouts so loud all you need to wear it with is white. now that's spring:
 via
i scored 3 polishes for three bucks. i wore the green for st. patrick's day, but can't wait to apply the highlighter yellow!!
i am loving studs right now.
on shoes, handbags, belts, jackets, nails etc...

scooped up this kickass belt for 5 dollaroos:
i posted here about my lust for cool cut-outs like these:
at the market i found the perfect sweater (for five dollars) hidden on a rack full of pieces i wouldn't look twice at & couldn't be happier with how it fits:
it's no secret that i love jewelry. organizing it, displaying it, flaunting it. i love pieces that draw attention or start convos, like these:
i typically always find at least a little something from my market trips to take home with me to remember that particular trip by, this time it was this little dude:

so, what do you guys think of my market finds? is there a market where you live or do you prefer the mall?
